Bollinger

Frankly, what industry mainstays Bollinger don't know about Champagne is not worth investigating. With a rich history rooted way back in 1585, the very beginnings of Bollinger Champagne are linked strongly to the Hennequin family, who had long since owned the land where this House would call its home.

Moving to the Champagne Region shortly before his twentieth birthday, Jaques Joseph Placide Bollinger gained valuable experience working in a local Champagne House. Born in 1803, this main was full of passion for our beloved drink and soon went on to form his very own venture. With Hennequin de Villemont and Paul Levieux Renaudin by his side, the three went into business together, and this was the start of something quite special.

The name Bollinger, if you were wondering, was decided upon as a result of chance. Or you can call it fate. Following the marriage of Jaques Bollinger to Charlotte de Villermont, the name Bollinger was easily settled on. A wise decision we think, as the name carries a charm and charisma that befits this exciting company.

But what sets Champagne Bollinger apart in the mind of the General Public has to be this House's close association with Her Majesty's most prized secret agent, James Bond. Clearly there is a reason why this illustrious character favours this Champagne over all others, so why not visit our online shop and see for yourself?
